Morgan's Vale and Woodfalls CE Primary School

Facilities

As part of a primary school academy, the Preschool can use the full range of school resources such as purpose-built rooms, a large hall for physical education, a field with play equipment and a large outdoor area for learning. The two well-equipped Preschool rooms are situated next door to the Reception classroom. The rooms are connected by sliding doors so that the children become familiar with their prospective classroom, if moving on to Morgan's Vale and Woodfalls Primary School. The Reception class teacher leads the Preschool, so a relationship is built up with the children when they start, possibly from two years old.

Some children also attend the toddler group ‘Twiglets’ on a Tuesday morning, situated in a mobile building on the school field. This supports the transition of children into Preschool and then on to primary school.

We love getting messy and we love painting and having fun making shapes with play dough!

We believe that children learn through play and if they are happy, they are learning. We offer creative and stimulating activities to support learning and we all get involved in lots of different role play activities.

Outside we have lovely areas where we can play and explore: we have the purposely built boat and sand pit area, our muddy kitchen play area, the Twiglets mother and toddler play area, the garden reading area and the large wooded school field. There’s so much room to run and play around in.
